I love, love, LOVE the fact that she's wearing the same basic armour style as the men (well, I assume they're men; can't really tell) instead of something that conforms to the shape of her breasts! Such "boob-breastplates" are a popular style in fantasy art, but they would have been absolutely terrible in actual combat (especially the kind where all the character wears is a platemail bikini, leaving the rest of her skin uncovered).
She looks like one of the Clayre, from Garth Nix's Old Kingdom series. The Clayre are blonde women who live in a fortress in the glacier. They see the future, and take care of themselves. There is a Captain of the Guard who is mentioned several times in the 2nd book (Lirael) so I thought it was meant to be her until I read some of the comments.
We are Zoltar Studio, a company that has just started its way. We look for a conceptual artist to develop concepts of characters, weapons, environments, etc... and possibly a storyboard in a project in which we are working. We have seen your work on DeviantArt and are interested in talking to you face to join our project. If you are interested get in touch with us to arrange the conditions email@example.com
Her expression also captures a lot of things too. It's as if this picture has a story to tell, hampered only by its singular page. In fact, I'd not be surprised if there are a lot of stories behind it!
Holy cow! I first saw this and said Ewoyn from Lord of the Rings. She looks so much like her, the facial expressions and everything, right down to the men in arms behind her. It all says Lord of the Rings to me. This is really good
Thanks! Oddly enough, I used almost no blue at all. Most of what looks blue is actually ivory black and white, but since the rest of my pallette was very warm it appears blue. I used cerulean/white in the very brightest highlights, but that's it.
